Callum Pankhurst embarked on his design journey in 1985 when he established a design company specialising in fitout design. This innovative studio allowed Pankhurst to immerse a himself in every aspect of the design process, including design conception, procurement, manufacturing, and project management. His expertise enabled him to secure projects both nationally and internationally, ranging from retail and hospitality to commercial design projects of varying scales.
Throughout his career, Pankhurst has always valued the importance of materiality. He embraces natural materials for their timeless appeal and inherent qualities. His designs consistently evoke emotions and exude warmth, inviting a unique and captivating experience. THE MAKER
Fast forward to 2023, Pankhurst now operates from a dynamic studio and workshop. Expanding his focus to bespoke pieces and small-scale objects, he seeks to craft intimate solutions for lighting, furniture, jewellery, artworks, and other artefacts. His design process revolves around development, prototyping, and experimentation, emphasising a deep understanding of materials acquired through everything he creates, establishing him as a respected figure in the design industry., Pankhurst thrives on engaging in intimate projects with a bespoke touch.
